Avoid being on the receiving end of costly booking cancellation fees by staying informed about upcoming changes in shipping policies. Recently announced by Hapag Lloyd, a Booking Cancellation Fee (BCF) and Weight Deviation Fee (FIO) will be implemented for exports from India and Pakistan. Effective from February 5, 2024, for all non-FMC trades and from March 6, 2024, for all FMC trades, both fees will remain valid until further notice.

Details of the Fees:

India:

Booking Cancellation Fee (BCF): USD 300 per container

Weight Deviation Fee (FIO): USD 400 per container

Pakistan:

Booking Cancellation Fee (BCF): USD 200 per container

Weight Deviation Fee (FIO): USD 400 per container
