Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) Overview

A Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) is being implemented for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent & Middle East to North America. This adjustment applies to cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ Dry, Reefer, and Special containers, including High Cube equipment. The PSS is applicable to all containers gated in full from June 17, 2024.

Indian Subcontinent & Middle East to North America West Coast:

USD 1000 per Container

India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka to United States East Coast & Gulf Coast:

USD 500 per Container

Geographical Scope

The Peak Season Surcharge applies to shipments originating from the following regions:

Indian Subcontinent & Middle East: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan

East Asia to North America:

North America: United States and Canada

In an ongoing commitment to deliver reliable and efficient service, CMA CGM announces the implementation of the following Peak Season Surcharge:

Origin Range: From Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea & Dili (Timor Leste)

Destination Range: To US East Coast, US Gulf & Latin America (including Puerto Rico & US Virgin Islands)

Cargo: All

Amount: USD 300 per TEU

This Peak Season Surcharge will be applicable from June 15th, 2024, and until further notice.
