Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) Implemented for S2W Trade Routes
Origin: Far East Asia countries (excluding Russia) Destination: South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mauritius Effective Date: 15-Feb-24 Currency: USD
Maersk is introducing the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments originating from Far East Asia countries (excluding Russia) to destinations including South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, and Mauritius. This surcharge, effective from February 15th, 2024, aims to ensure the continued provision of high-quality global services amidst heightened demand during peak seasons.
The tariff rates for this surcharge are detailed below:
20 Dry Containers: $200 USD
40 Dry/40HDry Containers: $400 USD
Additionally, a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) is also being introduced for shipments from Vietnam to the aforementioned destinations, effective from February 24th, 2024.
